Thanksgiving Point w/ G-ma Yost
We had a fun trip in June to Thanksgiving Point. What a fun day, it was just G-ma Yost the girls, Talen and I. We had so much fun walking thru all the beautiful flowers, gardens and waterfalls. The Secret Garden was the unanimous favorite. After the Gardens we took the kids over to the children discovery play area. They had so much fun playing around Noah’s Ark and the light house. We all agreed we will have to go back when the roses bloom.
Surgery
Talen had surgery in April to repair a hernia and a hydro cell. We were at the hospital before the sun came up. He handled everything very well and came out of the surgery great,we went home that same day. That night he started to swell and swell and swell black and purple. It was a lot worse than I could ever have imagined so I ran him back up to the Emergency room around 10:30 that same night. Were we waited around until 1 the next morning just to be told they couldn't do anything and to come back at 8 to see the Surgeon, Sooo frustrating. All in the past now. The days following he could not bend his legs up or down because he was swollen to about the size of a baseball. He was carried everywhere just because it hurt to much to watch him try and walk and we had to carry him with his back to our front and our hands under his butt, anything else put to much pressure on the “sensitive” zone. After a few days the swelling started to go down and by his two week check up all was well and everything is fine. I hope we never have to go thru another surgery of a little one again.
Taylyn vs The Eye
In February Taylyn had a little accident involving her eye, a fingernail and we think Essential oil. We had a scary week not knowing if there was going to be permanent damage, lots of doctor visits and a lot of her walking around with her eyes shut. That added up to tons of bumps into walls, chairs, and mom feeding her. Everything turned out fine but I’ll never forget the eye patch and this Frown.

Birthdays and Partys
It's time to get all caught up. Travis and Talen birthdays were in November on the 15 and 16th. We celebrated them together on Talens the 15th. I made Talen the Yost Traditional first b-day teddy bear cake. That he got all to him self! We where taking bets on how long it would take him to dig in and devour the cake, To all our surprise, he just nibbled, taking the icing of the ear and not much more. Thanks to Grandmas and Grandpas for all the great gifts and love. He has loved having some boy cars and toys around. Travis sends a big thank you; his little man is no longer playing with baby dolls, Barbie and ponies.
Travis had a few friends over to watch the UFC paper view fight. We had lots of food a chocolate b-day cake for him and fun company. We all had a fun and great evening can’t wait to have another party.
Happy birthday to the two most important men in my life.
♥♥I love you! ♥♥
(a year in review to come for little Talen)
Pictures to come later as well, it won't let me load them of the camera?!

AGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
I know it’s been a month from my last post. I have two birthdays, Thanksgiving, a family visit and Christmas shopping that needs to be posted and read by all but first I need to get this of my chest.
Travis has a company party to night that his boss has very directly told him he SHOULD REALLY attend. And being in the current economic status that our wonderful country is in we want to keep him happy. We have known about this party for weeks but didn't feel the need to find a babysitter until this week. Being the good Mormon that I am did not call on Monday night to find a babysitter. On Tuesday placing a strategic call after school but before dinner and church meetings, called or norm babysitter to see if she would be willing, no such luck and then the bad news on Friday night the Young men and women are having practice for the ward party on Saturday and no young women are going to be available for Friday. OOHH GRAP!!!
Then my wonderful husband comes up with the Idea that I should call my cousins in West Jordan and see if they would be willing. Because we all know that the Friday before Christmas they would have nothing better to do! RIGHT?
Thru all that I didn’t get a hold of them until 7pm last night and after a very long story the oldest would not be able to do to work. But that still leaves her little sister and There mom who loves kids. And then my 80ish granny would be willing to take the kids after a 3 am shift today at the temple and a Santa party for the whole family tomorrow! SO I guess my question is should I try and get a hold of my cousins at 3:30 to see if they could take my kids at 5, or have my 80ish Granny watch my wild very high energy whirl wind kids with a 26 pound 1 year old that she can't lift! Or just tell my husband no such luck maybe next year? Oh and by the way all my kids have a cough and runny noses! Dose that help? And along with this my husbands co-worker has been texting me asking in a very funny non harassing way to get a babysitter or there not going either. HahahaHAhahah Happy Holidays!

TAG.....I'm IT
This is my First tag EVER. I'm so nervous. It has been about a month since Katie Tagged me. Oh well!
Thanks Katie!
1. I love UFC Fight Night. Travis totally has me hooked on ultimate fighting. I can't watch boxing of wrestling sooooooo boring!! But I totally love UFC.
2. I hate reality TV. Can't stand it. People are so stupid. And they always seem to get the bimbos. Some shows are better than others. And there are some really smart people out there, but those shows are no fun either, you spend the whole time trying to figure out what there talking about. And for all the others they just make me feel like a total loser because I’m sitting on my couch watching instead of doing what there doing.
3. I still love horses. Always have and I think always will. I used to have horses and my Husband loves them as well. But it's a little hard when you live in suburbia.
4. I love Fantasy. Fantasy books, movie T.V. Getting lost in wonderland is always a nice break from life.
5. You can't tell by looking at me but I’m a practical natural health nut. Homeopathic and Essential oil, that kind of stuff.
6. I pick my nose. You read it right. I do it tactfully of course. In private where no body can see and I always throw them away in the garbage, and then was my hands. I can’t stand burgers; I have to get them out. And sometimes blowing and doing the little Q-tip thing with the tissue doesn’t always work.
7. I'm imposable shy, and communicational challenged. I can never say or do the right thing like it's pictured in my mind. It always comes out jumbled or I stutter. So I just keep my mouth shut. I thing that I come of a bit mean or Like I have a superiority complex just because I can’t hold a conversation. And I find it extremely difficult to ask people question, even if they have asked me a question first.
I don't have 7 people to tag but this will have to do:

Lindsie lnyost.blogspot.com/
